The Problem

Finance reports answer the questions you planned. Not the next one.

  • Close-Week Questions Wait in a Queue

Every question a standard report does not answer goes to the one person who can build a custom report, usually in the busiest week of the month.

  • Multi-Entity Answers Become Spreadsheet Work

When a question cuts across entities, currencies or dimensions in a way no saved report covers, someone exports the data and rebuilds the answer by hand.

  • AI Without Your Definitions

A general-purpose assistant can draft a summary, but without your certified definitions and permissions it cannot say what operating expense means in your chart of accounts, or who may see which entity.

How It Works

From Sage Intacct data to answers your controller can check

  1. 1

    Connect

Nexatron connects to Sage Intacct through its Live connector, under a dedicated user whose permissions match the questions you approve. We agree the entities, dimensions and periods in scope first.

  2. 2

    Ask

Ask in plain English across entities, periods and dimensions, from the Nexatron interface or from Claude through MCP.

  3. 3

    Trust

Every answer comes with the query it ran, the certified metric definition it used and the row-level policies applied, so a controller can check it against a reference report.

Use Cases

Questions finance teams bring to Sage Intacct

Illustrative examples of the questions teams bring to a demonstration, not customer results. What Nexatron returns depends on your data, your definitions and the permissions you approve.

  • Close: illustrative question

“Which expense accounts moved most against last month, by department?”

    What Nexatron Returns

Compares the two periods in the general ledger, ranks the largest movements by department, and shows the query and the period definition it used, ready for variance commentary.

  • Accounts payable: illustrative question

“Which vendor bills are due in the next 14 days, by entity?”

    What Nexatron Returns

Reads open payables for the entities the user may see, groups bills by due date and vendor, and returns the total with an entity-by-entity breakdown.

  • Reporting: illustrative question

“What was gross margin by location last quarter against budget?”

    What Nexatron Returns

Applies the certified gross margin definition, compares actuals with the budget for the same period, and shows the variance by location.

  • Multi-entity: illustrative question

“What is our cash balance across every entity, and which entity holds the most?”

    What Nexatron Returns

Totals the cash accounts across the entities in scope, states the currency and the as-of date it used, and breaks the total down by entity.

Capabilities

Built for finance. Governed for the enterprise.

  • Live Sage Intacct Connector

The Sage Intacct connector is live in Nexatron today. The current status of every connector is published at nexatron.io/connectors.

  • Governed Semantic Layer

Define operating expense, gross margin and days payable outstanding once. The certified definition is applied on every query, for every user and every AI client.

  • Row-Level Security

Row-level policies apply per user, so an entity controller and a group CFO each see only the entities they are allowed to see.

  • Evidence with Every Answer

Every answer carries the query it ran, the certified metric definition it used and the row-level policies applied, with timestamps.

  • Claude Through MCP

Nexatron exposes the same governed query tools to any MCP client, including Claude, so every assistant returns the same answer to the same question.

  • Self-Hosted or BYOL

Nexatron can run in your own VPC, and with a model you host, prompts and results can stay inside your environment.

Claude and Sage Intacct

How do you connect Claude to Sage Intacct?

Through Nexatron. Its Sage Intacct connector is live, and it exposes governed query tools to Claude through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Claude asks the question; Nexatron runs it under your certified definitions and the row-level policies for that user, and returns the answer with its evidence. The four practices below are how dotSolved.ai sets up that access.

  • A dedicated user, never a shared login

Connect with a dedicated Sage Intacct user whose permissions cover only the modules and entities the approved questions need. Your administrator can review or remove that access at any time, and no one's personal login is shared with an AI client.

  • Entities and dimensions agreed up front

Decide which entities, dimensions and periods are in scope, and which currency and period rules apply, before the first question. Write the scope down with the business owner, so a multi-entity answer means the same thing to everyone who reads it.

  • Read before write

Start with read-only questions: balances, payables, variances and budget comparisons. Add an action that changes data only for a named workflow, with a business owner and a human confirmation step.

  • Reconcile before anyone relies on it

Compare the first answers with a report your controller already trusts. Nothing reaches wider use until finance signs off the definitions and the results match.

Nexatron connector: Live

What Nexatron adds: governed definitions

A connection answers “can Claude reach Sage Intacct?”. It does not answer “what does operating expense mean here?”. Nexatron sits between the AI client and the data so that the same question gets the same governed answer, whichever assistant asks it.

  • Certified definitions: operating expense, gross margin and days payable outstanding are defined once and reused by every question
  • Row-level policies applied per user, so an entity controller and a group CFO get the view each is allowed to see
  • Evidence on every answer: the query that ran, the certified metric definition and the policies applied
  • The same governed query tools exposed to any MCP client, Claude included

Current Nexatron connector status, including Sage Intacct, is published at nexatron.io/connectors. For the wider Claude rollout, see Claude for enterprise.

Enterprise Reality

Most enterprises are experimenting with AI. Few are running it.

Your data is locked in Oracle, NetSuite, and Salesforce.

Your decisions are based on last week's export.

Your AI pilots are producing demos.

Not outcomes. Not ROI. Not scale.

Your platforms are adding AI natively.

Deploying it in a real enterprise is a different problem entirely.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Sage Intacct AI with Nexatron do?
It lets your finance team ask Sage Intacct questions in plain English, about the close, payables, budgets and results across entities, and get answers that use your certified metric definitions and each user's permissions. Every answer carries the query it ran, the definition it used and the policies applied, so a controller can check it. You can ask in the Nexatron interface or from Claude through MCP.
How does Nexatron connect to Sage Intacct?
Through Nexatron's Sage Intacct connector, which is live today. We set up the connection with a dedicated Sage Intacct user whose permissions cover only what the approved questions need, and agree the entities, dimensions and periods in scope before the first question. The current status of every connector is published at nexatron.io/connectors.
Can I connect Claude to Sage Intacct?
Yes, through Nexatron. Nexatron exposes its governed query tools to any MCP client, including Claude. Claude asks the question, Nexatron runs it under the certified definitions and the row-level policies for that user, and the answer comes back with its evidence. dotSolved.ai designs the user's permissions, the tool scope and the test plan, and starts with read-only questions.
Can Nexatron answer questions across multiple entities?
Yes, within the scope you approve. During setup we agree which entities are in scope, which currency and period rules apply and who may see each entity. Row-level policies then apply per user, and every answer carries the query it ran, so a controller can see exactly what was included. We confirm the behaviour on your own data in a demonstration before anyone relies on it.
Does Nexatron replace Sage Intacct's built-in reporting?
No. Your existing reports and dashboards stay where they are. Nexatron handles the questions they were not built for: ad-hoc questions across entities, periods and dimensions, questions that combine Sage Intacct with other supported sources, and natural language access from Claude.
Can Nexatron combine Sage Intacct with other systems?
Nexatron can combine supported sources using embedded DuckDB federation. A question that spans Sage Intacct and another system needs appropriate source access, compatible definitions and agreed mappings between the two. Review the current connector status and your data relationships in a tailored demonstration.
How is data security handled?
Nexatron enforces row-level policies per user and reads Sage Intacct under a dedicated user with only the permissions the approved questions need. Self-hosted deployment runs Nexatron in your VPC, and with BYOL (Bring Your Own LLM) you can run inference on a model you host so prompts and results stay inside your environment. Every answer records the query, the definition and the policies applied.
Where should a finance team start?
With three questions your team waits on today, one reference report your controller trusts and the person who signs off the numbers. We connect, certify the definitions those questions need, and compare the answers with the reference report. A Claude readiness assessment covers the wider rollout if Claude is in scope.
