The Problem

NetSuite reporting was built for operators. Not for questions.

  • Saved Searches Hit a Ceiling

NetSuite's Saved Searches and SuiteAnalytics are powerful, until you need cross-subsidiary roll-ups, multi-period trends, or questions that span modules. Then you export to Excel.

  • Multi-Subsidiary Complexity

OneWorld environments with 10+ subsidiaries, multiple currencies, and intercompany transactions make cross-entity reporting a multi-day exercise. It shouldn't be.

  • Analyst Bottleneck

Business leaders wait days for answers because every question beyond a canned report requires a NetSuite power user to build a new Saved Search. That queue never shrinks.

How It Works

From NetSuite data to trusted answers in seconds

  1. 1

    Connect

Point Nexatron at your NetSuite instance. Native SuiteQL connection, no middleware, no exports. Read-only. Respects your existing roles.

  2. 2

    Ask

Ask any business question in plain English: cross-subsidiary, cross-module, cross-period. Ask from the Nexatron interface or from Claude through MCP.

  3. 3

    Trust

Every answer comes with the query it ran, the certified metric definition it used, the row-level policies applied and a full audit trail. Governed by your semantic layer.

Use Cases

Questions your NetSuite team asks every week

  • Question

“What's our cash position across all subsidiaries right now?”

    What Nexatron Returns

Nexatron queries NetSuite's multi-subsidiary GL in real time, consolidates across currencies, and returns a single answer with subsidiary-level breakdowns.

  • Question

“Which customers have overdue invoices above $50K?”

    What Nexatron Returns

Queries Accounts Receivable across all subsidiaries, applies aging logic, and returns ranked results with days overdue and customer contact info.

  • Question

“What was our revenue by product line last quarter vs. plan?”

    What Nexatron Returns

Pulls actuals from the Income Statement, compares against budget records, and shows variance by product line with trend indicators.

  • Question

“Show me our top 10 vendors by spend this year with YoY change”

    What Nexatron Returns

Aggregates AP transactions across subsidiaries, ranks by total spend, calculates year-over-year change, and flags anomalies.

Capabilities

Built for NetSuite. Built for the enterprise.

Every answer carries the query it ran, the certified metric definition it used and the row-level policies applied, with timestamps

Claude and NetSuite

Can you connect Claude to NetSuite?

Yes. Oracle's NetSuite AI Connector Service lets AI clients that support remote MCP with OAuth 2.0, including Claude, call NetSuite tools under a NetSuite role you define. The four facts below come from Oracle's documentation. What they do not cover is meaning: what your organization calls revenue, which subsidiaries count, and which period rules apply. That layer is where Nexatron comes in.

  • A custom role, never Administrator

Oracle states that the NetSuite AI Connector Service does not support Administrator roles. Create a non-administrator role and give it the MCP Server Connection and OAuth 2.0 Access Tokens permissions, plus REST Web Services if you install the MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp. Limit subsidiaries, departments and record types to what the approved questions need.

  • OAuth 2.0 tied to NetSuite permissions

AI clients authenticate with OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Grant with PKCE, and every query runs with the connected role's NetSuite permissions. Per Oracle, tools cannot run as administrators, cannot call external APIs and cannot run elevated scripts. Your administrator can review or revoke role access at any time.

  • The MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp

Oracle provides the standard tools as a free SuiteApp. They can create, read and update records, run reports and saved searches, and execute SuiteQL queries, where SuiteQL tools are read-only. Custom tools for your own workflows are written in SuiteScript 2.1 and managed under Customization > Scripting > Custom Tools.

  • Read before write

The standard toolset includes record creation and updates, so start with read scope: reports, saved searches and SuiteQL. Add write tools only for a named workflow with a business owner and a human confirmation step. Oracle's own guidance is to grant only the permissions really needed, avoid high-privilege roles and monitor the integration record's Execution Log, which NetSuite keeps for 21 days in production and 7 days in sandbox.

Nexatron connector: Live

What Nexatron adds: governed definitions

Oracle's connector answers “can Claude reach NetSuite?”. It does not answer “what does revenue mean here?”. Nexatron sits between the AI client and the data so that the same question gets the same governed answer, whichever assistant asks it.

  • Certified definitions: revenue, gross margin, DSO and open receivables are defined once and reused by every question
  • Row-level policies applied per user, so a subsidiary controller and a group CFO get the view each is allowed to see
  • Evidence on every answer: the query that ran, the certified metric definition and the policies applied
  • The same governed query tools exposed to any MCP client, whether that is Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot

Oracle also notes that adding the connector in Claude requires a Claude Pro plan or higher, that NetSuite concurrency limits are shared with other integrations, and that the service has not been assessed for HIPAA compliance. Enterprise Reality

Most enterprises are experimenting with AI. Few are running it.

Your data is locked in Oracle, NetSuite, and Salesforce.

Your decisions are based on last week's export.

Your AI pilots are producing demos.

Not outcomes. Not ROI. Not scale.

Your platforms are adding AI natively.

Deploying it in a real enterprise is a different problem entirely.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Nexatron connect to NetSuite?
Nexatron connects directly to NetSuite using SuiteQL, NetSuite's native query language. No middleware, no CSV exports, no SuiteAnalytics Connect required. The connection is read-only and respects your existing NetSuite role-based access controls. The NetSuite connector is live in Nexatron today.
What is the NetSuite AI Connector Service?
The NetSuite AI Connector Service is Oracle's service for letting supported AI clients access NetSuite data and functionality through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). According to Oracle's documentation, it is not a paid feature, the MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp is free, and the AI client must support remote MCP with OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Grant with PKCE. Access runs under a non-administrator NetSuite role that has the MCP Server Connection and OAuth 2.0 Access Tokens permissions.
Can I connect Claude to NetSuite?
Yes. Oracle lists Claude among the AI clients that work with the NetSuite AI Connector Service and notes that adding the connector in Claude requires a Claude Pro plan or higher. Claude then calls the NetSuite MCP tools your role allows, under that role's permissions. dotSolved.ai designs the role, the tool scope and the test plan, and Nexatron adds certified definitions so Claude's answers match the numbers your finance team signs off.
What is NetSuite MCP and what can the tools do?
NetSuite MCP is NetSuite's implementation of the Model Context Protocol, delivered through the AI Connector Service. Oracle's MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp can create, read and update records, run reports and saved searches, and execute SuiteQL queries, where SuiteQL tools are read-only. Administrators can also build custom tools in SuiteScript 2.1. We recommend starting with read-only tools and adding write tools only for a named workflow with a human confirmation step.
Does the NetSuite AI Connector work with the Administrator role?
No. Oracle states that, for better access control and security, the NetSuite AI Connector Service does not support Administrator roles. Use a custom role with only the permissions the approved questions need, and add REST Web Services only if you use the MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp.
What does Nexatron add on top of Oracle's NetSuite AI Connector?
Governed definitions and evidence. Oracle's connector gives an AI client access to NetSuite under a NetSuite role. Nexatron defines what revenue, margin or DSO mean once, applies row-level policies per user and returns the query, the certified metric definition and the policies applied with every answer. Nexatron exposes those governed query tools to any MCP client, including Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot, so every assistant returns the same answer to the same question.
Can Nexatron handle OneWorld multi-subsidiary environments?
Yes. Nexatron is built for OneWorld. It queries across subsidiaries, handles multi-currency consolidation, and respects intercompany elimination rules. You can ask questions that span all subsidiaries or filter to specific ones.
Does Nexatron replace NetSuite's built-in reporting?
No. Nexatron complements NetSuite's Saved Searches and SuiteAnalytics by handling the questions they can't: cross-subsidiary roll-ups, multi-source queries, natural language access, and ad-hoc analysis without building new reports.
Can Nexatron query NetSuite and Salesforce at the same time?
Nexatron can combine supported sources using embedded DuckDB. A NetSuite and Salesforce question needs appropriate source access, compatible definitions and customer mappings. Review the current connector status and your data relationships in a tailored demonstration.
How is data security handled?
Nexatron enforces row-level security based on your NetSuite roles. Self-hosted deployment runs Nexatron in your VPC, and with BYOL (Bring Your Own LLM) you can run inference on a model you host so prompts and results stay inside your environment. Every answer records the query, the definition and the policies applied. If you use Oracle's NetSuite AI Connector Service with a third-party assistant, Oracle notes that data sent to that assistant is governed by the assistant provider's privacy policy and requires your explicit acknowledgment before you connect.
