Governance and Security

What does governed Claude access include?

Identity, scope, read-only tools, logging, a deployment choice and a data-usage position, each decided before the first user signs in.

  • Identity

    Users sign in through your identity provider. Claude acts with that user's permissions, never through a shared service account that can see everything.

  • Scope

    Each MCP tool is allow-listed and scoped to specific objects, fields and rows. A finance tool cannot read HR data because it was never given a path to it.

  • Read-only by default

    First deployments expose read-only tools. Write actions, when you decide you want them, are separate tools with their own approval step and their own log.

  • Logging and evidence

    Every prompt, tool call, query and response is logged with the user, the time and the data source. That is the evidence auditors and model-risk teams ask for.

  • Deployment and data residency

    Claude is available through the Claude API and on Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud and Microsoft Foundry. Bedrock and Google Cloud offer regional endpoints and Foundry offers a US data zone, so inference can stay in the geography you already contract.

  • Data usage

    Anthropic's commercial terms state that Anthropic may not train models on customer content from its commercial services, and by default inputs and outputs from those products are not used for training. Your gateway adds data-loss controls on top.

How does Claude connect to NetSuite, Salesforce or Oracle Fusion?
Through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI applications such as Claude call tools exposed by a server. dotSolved builds MCP servers that expose your NetSuite, Salesforce or Oracle Fusion data to Claude as governed, read-only tools scoped to each user's permissions, or configures Nexatron, whose NetSuite, Salesforce and Oracle Fusion connectors are Live and expose governed query tools to Claude and other MCP clients. In both cases the data stays in the source system, and Claude receives only the results each governed query returns, not a copy of the dataset.
Is our data used to train Anthropic's models?
No, by default. Anthropic's commercial terms state that Anthropic may not train models on customer content from its commercial services, and Anthropic's privacy documentation says inputs and outputs from commercial products such as the API and Claude for Work are not used for training by default. The exception is feedback you choose to submit, and the owner of a Team or Enterprise plan can turn feedback off for the whole organization. dotSolved adds a governed gateway with data-loss controls so you decide what reaches the model at all.
Where can Claude run? Can it stay inside our own cloud account?
Yes. Claude is available through the Claude API and on Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud and Microsoft Foundry. Bedrock and Google Cloud offer regional endpoints and Foundry offers a US data zone, so inference can stay in the geography you have contracted. dotSolved deploys into the platform and region your security and data-residency rules allow, under the networking and identity posture you already have.
Which Claude model should we use?
Match the model to the task rather than standardizing on one. Within the Claude family, Opus is for deep, multi-step reasoning and long-running agent work, Sonnet is the balance of speed and intelligence for most production workloads, and Haiku is for high-volume, latency-sensitive calls such as classification and routing. A governed gateway routes each request by policy, so changing the model is a configuration decision, not a code change. Anthropic publishes the current lineup at anthropic.com.
How long does a first Claude deployment take?

Can Claude change records in our systems, or only read them?
Start read-only. First deployments expose read-only tools so Claude can answer questions without the ability to change anything. If you later want write actions, such as creating a draft journal or updating a case, they are built as separate tools with their own approval step and their own log entry, so the decision to allow writes is explicit and reviewable.
How does Nexatron fit with Claude?
